My time in Lesotho and on the world race has come to an end and I’m on my way back to America as I write this. This past month and a half has been one of the biggest blessings in my walk with the Lord so far. God treated us so well while we were in Lesotho, from the peace and quite that he gave us as we wrap up our time on field, to even the hard moments, God never failed to show up and prove that he is still sovereign, still in control, still loving, and still in relentless pursuit after us. During our house / village visits, Jesus took me back, once more, to remind me what the true gospel is: Love. Without love, we truly do have nothing. I so eagerly wanted to share with everyone that Jesus Christ died on a cross for their sins but unfortunately those words are new concepts to some people. Some people have never even had the gospel shared with them before. So what was my job? My job was to love them because, “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging symbol. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if i have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I have nothing. If I give away all that I have, and if I deliver upon my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.” Loving the people here meant being involved with the community, hosting meals, gathering on holidays, and indulging in a foreign culture. The people I met here were genuinely the kindest people I’ve met in my entire life. They didn’t care what it was that you were going through or what you have done, if you were community, you were family, and that had an impact on me. The power in sharing, the power in forgiveness, and the power in not holding grudges against people are now so much more obviously important to me.

Along with my love for other people, my intimacy with the Lord also grew so much while in Lesotho. It is probably the most beautiful country I’ve ever been to with mountains surrounding us from every side, the calming sound of the rushing rivers that was ever present, the brightest blue sky you’ve ever seen, and the abundant amount of wildlife that always seemed to find its way to me. I loved it all and it’s pretty safe to say the secret place was not hard to find. I could go anywhere and be surrounded by Gods creation and filled with His love. The Bible is alive and active, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing through flesh and spirit. It does not fall on deaf ears and has power to change the atmosphere and the people around you. So get in your bible, start reading, and discover the goodness and the Love the Jesus has for you. Be made new, in the image of Christ with softened hearts and new minds ready to attack the enemy when he comes for you with those same old stupid tricks he’s been using for eternity and rejoice when Jesus sets you free!

I can’t wait to see you all again in a few weeks and tell you more about my trip but until then, I love you!!!
